Ahhhnold “Afraid” of Deportation from AZ

What a dumbass. I used to have some respect for Arnold. Back before he became governor, he was never the best actor, but his movies were always entertaining. And you have to respect a guy with enough dedication to win the  Mr. Universe once title and the Mr. Olympia title seven times.

You would think a guy who has come as far in life as Arnold would understand the importance of coming to the United States the legal way. This Country has afforded him opportunities he never could have imagined any where else on this earth. Austria is by no means a third world country, but he was still given opportunities here he wouldn't have gotten there.

Also, you would think, as the governor of one of the most illegal immigrant infested states in the nation, he would understand the costs associated with illegal immigration. California has been on the very edge of bankruptcy for the past several years, what could his state do with the more than $10.5 billion dollars illegal immigration costs his state every year? In March of this year, California's unemployment rate was at 13%. Do you think any of the more that 2.5 million illegal immigrants in California have jobs that could be done by unemployed LEGAL residents?

Either Arnold knows all these things and is just playing some political game with his comments, or he is totally clueless and has no business being the governor of a state with the 8th largest economy in the world.

From FoxNews

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is dealing with immigration issues of his own…

The Governor took time during a commencement speech in Georgia to poke fun at Arizona's recent immigration law.

In his thick Austrian accent, Schwarzenegger explained to Emory University: "I was also going to give a graduation speech in Arizona this weekend," he joked. "But with my accent, I was afraid they would try to deport me."

The Gov. was full of jokes during the keynote speech. He also teased his wife Maria Shriver and his in-laws, the Kennedy family: "This is my first law degree," he said. "Finally, the Kennedy's will think I'm a success. And Maria can finally bring me home to meet her family."

Schwarzenegger is known for being proud of his immigrant past and is quoted as saying: "As you know, I'm an immigrant. I came over here as an immigrant, and what gave me the opportunities, what made me to be here today, is the open arms of Americans. I have been received. I have been adopted by America."

If Arnold had been deported out of Arizona, I'm sure his response would have been his classic one liner "I'll be back..."
